First of all ,I would like to thank all of you for your valuable inputs.I got my IELTS results today...and it was good...
Listening  ----8.5
Reading   -----6.5
Writing    ------7
Speaking ----8.5
Overall    ---7.5
So...I can claim 16 points for language.

Well...I appeared frm ABU DHABI centre...I did practice a lot...also joined an institute for the same...but that did not help me much...I did practice on my own...downloaded many materials from internet...Incase anybody needs any practice material..u can send me a pm...I will send you the link.For listening,it is always better to look at the questions well in advance...so that u will know wht information u r looking for...same goes for reading...but i think I did  some silly mistakes,otherwise i would have scored high in reading as well...incase you need any help in any specific area...please let me know...best of luck...peace

Well...for everyone's benefit, I am posting the links here...one is from an english site...and other is from a russian site...but u can download frm that...My advise is that...please practice more and more...and also try to find out where you r making mistakes...please review your mistakes...its always good to see the questiones before you start listening or reading...so that you know the information u need to look for.

Hi  sifarsen,

Congrats for your result and I appreciate your efforts to help others.

Please help me with two questions-
1) are there any more useful links for IELTS that you suggest?
2) for a better score how many months of preparation is needed you think (though its a rough idea)?

I am also planning to appear for IELTS on May 09. If u score less marks or want to improve your score do u have to deposit the fees again. I will go for the links. If there are some other usefull links pls let me know. It will be usefull for many of us.
