Overall score is immaterial, it is what the score is in each of the modules. PMM

PMM, thanks for the reply. Her listening is 8, reading is 7 , writing is 6.5 and speaking is 8. Overall bandscore is 7.5
How many points can she claim for language proficiency, and is this still valid , her aor is dated nov. 27, 2007, and her ielts is nov. 03, 2007. Thanks, pls help. Piolo

16 Points, the highest. But, only if she already submitted the IELTS tests at that time or submitted within a year of this result. If she is going to submit now, it is invalid as it is older than a year. CIC only accept IELTS test taken within a year.

Yes, the IELTS is still valid because it's taken within a year from the time she applied.

To all who shared their inputs re ielts - pls. enlighten me on the points, at the other forum they informed that I cannot get full points since I only got 6.5 in writing, and since ielts was taken nov. 3, 2007, it falls under the old SAP guidelines . No problem about validity it is settled. Listening is 8, reading is7 and speaking is 8.
Pls. help. P

They says that if it favors you, CIC officer will have full discretion to award you points under the new IELTS scoring system.
Good Luck!!
