Got my result today

Listening      8
Reading      7.5
Writing      7.5
Speaking      8
Overall Band  8

To tell you the truth, I was worried over my writing part but ALMIGHTY saved me on all fronts.
I thank HIM with my folded hands and head down.

Another purpose of writing this e-mail to all fellows here is that I've many soft (pdf) files of IELTS preparation material, which I sourced
from internet and good fellows like you.

I didn't purchase any book for the exam as the material that I had was more than enough to prepare.
Since "sharing is caring", I'd like to share all of my material with aspirants over here..!!

I'll soon upload zip files on "big file transfer" (including mp3 files for listening practice) and share the link with all of you.
Even if I am able to help a single person, it'd be a repay to all those helped me.

regards

 @  Mr-rana,
Good  job. COngratulations. You got more than needed. But it will help your assesment I hope.
I envy you because my score 7.5.  Tongue . Just filled up the requirements for full 16 points.
Wish you all the  best.
By the way I didn't have much materials except few from net and two old books of cambridge IELTS.
Can you please share IELTS materials? or provide the  source to get them from net? It would be a great help since many of my friends ask for help.

hahaha, if an overall band of both 7.5 and 8 yields 16, it doesn't matter what we got either of them.

Rest, as I said, I'll upload zip files of "bigfiletransfer" around coming weekend and post the link over here.

It'd be free to download...so no hassles.

thanks everyone~

Hi Everyone,

I'm relatively new in this forum. I will appreciate if anyone can shed more light on these basic concerns;

- is the proof of language proficiency test compulsory for all applicants regardless of your background and educational achievements?

- does everyone have to provide proof of language proficiency by way of IELTS and other tests?

- is the test compulsory for spouse and other dependents (+22 years)?

These are my honest concerns. Many thanks.

Regards,
Jesuloba

Congrats for sucha good score,  BTW you belong to which country and appeared in which centre.

Mine is on 4th Nov.  I am really worried about reading as during all the reading practise tests, only one I was able to get 33 correct answers, that too with some luck, otherwise normally I score 26/25 correct answers in all the practice tests I have done so far.
I am also worried about my speaking, as I am not very good in speaking (in general as well) and stutter at many occasions

 @ jesusloba,

It's not compulsory but it's the most acceptable way to prove one's command over the language.
There are applicants who proved their eligibility instead of submitting recommended tests by CIC.

I'd strongly advice to go for the test and IELTS is most common option.

Yes, everyone has to provide proof of language proficiency but it's only for the principal applicant and not for your spouse & dependent children.

I'll soon upload enough training material for free (as I also got it free)
Just practice hard and I am sure you'll get good score.

good luck

Jesuloba,
English profeceincy  proof is a must (for the main applicant only) but if your native language is English or even French you do not need to have a test but you have to show your documents.
It was allowed before for non-English speakers to submitt any documents that support their claim for English profeciency such as studying in English medium, have publications,..etc till 10/06/2010 and after that it became a mandatory that all people who their native language is not English should have the IELTS test and submit their results with the first application.
All my best,
Ali Shabanah

 @ wxyz123

Looking at the material you got, you seems to be better resourced than me and I feel that all that you have is more than enough for anyone to get a good score.

So would it be possible for you to share it with other members?
There may be some who don't have this material and are about to face the exam.

 @ EnvioZA
My best wishes to you...I hope you'll soon see your credit card charged.
Contrary to other charges, it's the charge anyone will be very happy to see in his or her credit card statement.

Good luck and I am sure you'll make it.
