IELTS RESITS

I have just (less than one month ago) attempted IELTS for the immigration purposes. In the result, I am unable to get the desired score.
My question is that, if I re-attempt IELTS, and gets lesser score than the current one, then which result (score) will be valid? The highest one or the most recent one.

Hi, I just scored IELTS for Canadain Immigration purpose:

Speaking-7
Reading - 7
Writing - 6
Listening - 7

I guess, based on the this score, my competency is

Speaking - High
Reading - High
Writing - Moderate
Listening - Moderate.

Am I right?

Plus, If i would like to resit for improving, then it might happen that the next score lower than this current one.

My question is that in that case, which result will be applicable as valid?

Will that be the most recent one or the most highest?

Please guide me..

Yr score will be L-2,R-4,W-2,S-4.total you will get 12 points.IN Listenening 7 band is not considered high.You need to have 7.5 band to get it high as per FSW 1 requirement.

Thanks Nevil. But as I am applying for FSW, I have three years of NOC experience.

Adding with this 12 points with my application, the total score is 69. What do u say, do i still need to resit IELTS TO GET 7.5?

     All the scores are valid for two years  from the exam date(GT or Academic).

The guideline says clearly says that "result can't be more than ONE year old" at the time of  submission. so be careful..!!

Rest, since there is no limit on IELTS resits, so one may submit the one that qualifies him/her to meet the limit of 67 score.

It means total score it is important than IELTS score?

If IELTS score is 8 point but total score is 73~75 is can be don't worry?

This is a concern but in my understanding, the accumulated (of all qualifying factors) and not individual score matters.

Why you think that IELTS score 8 and total over 70 is a matter of concern?
I feel as long as one crosses 67 fairly, individual factors don't matter at all.

You can send either of the IELTS result which help to score more score.

Suppose, in first attempt, you get 8 Point in IELTS and  in second attempt, If you get 6 Point, then you should send IELTS result copy of First attempt to score 8 Points in IELTS category.

Taking multiple IELTS attempt is not a problem and Visa office can not track your IELTS exam attempt history. You should submit IELTS result of Best Performance.

Thanks so much, because some person told me that IETLS need to be more 10 points if unfer have no chance even if you have 75 score.

So I really worry.

I also do the same way you show in here.
I do another and then sent they for addition when I have better score than.

But I just want to confirm about this. Have chance or no chance is different.

Over here I'd further like to ask that in case one does fairly poor in IELTS, lets say getting only 4 marks or even 0 but still total score is over 67, what happens?

Doesn't he still qualifies the selection criteria?
Isn't it similar to other factors like arranged employment or adaptability where we mostly score 0 but still qualify the passing limit of 67?

Scoring 67 Points or more does not guarantee for success in Visa.

It depends in many factors, like Education, Experience and Language Ability.

If you score 0 or 4 Points in IELTS, they will verify all your Education, Experience and other documents personally and slowly and they may reject file showing some other reasons.

Work Experience is the main factor to success in Visa. If you do not satisfy your work experience, your chances is high to reject file. Visa office knows well that lots of people show fraud work experience history or set the experience related to current NOC demand list.

Adaptability helps a lot to satisfy Visa officer. If your spouse is Education or you have Relative in Canada or having permanent job offer, you chances of visa success is high.

This is according to my knowledge, It may not be true.

I would like to add something,a total of 67 marks in FSW doesnot guarantee your success if u score less marks in IELTS.Its because they expect that if u r a highly educated person then u cant get bands 4 or 5.Similarly there r some professions in which they expect even high bands like Teachers,Doctors etc as if u r unable to listen someone properly or cant speak how can u deliver a lecture to your students.So IELTS is very important not only because of marks but also for your assessment

Yes,

all arguments seems very sensible & understandable concerning ones' performance in IELTS irrespective of accumulated score.
Seems a score of at least 8 must be the minimum to impress visa officer.
