I'm a PNP nominee preparing my permanent residency application. I had a couple of questions on the language testing requirements for my permanent residency application. Can the test be waived if medium of education is english, which is the case for me.
If not, can I submit my application with test results pending (in other words, can I submit my application before taking the test)?

You'd better to take IELTS test.

I agree with VictoriaM but it may be useful to share with us more information such as , which province are you applying for through the Nominee program.

I'm applying for PR through Alberta PNP.

Which Stream / Category ?

Have you read the following announcement in the AINP website ?

The AINP is currently not accepting applications under the AINP U.S. Visa Holder Category and the AINP Family Stream. Applications postmarked after August 23, 2010 will be returned. Applications postmarked on or before August 23, 2010 that meet all program criteria will be accepted for processing and will be processed according to AINP Processing Times and U.S. Visa Holder Category or Family Stream criteria. See the following News Release for further information.

Have you started already the process ?

Good luck

I didn't think you needed a IELTS result if you were being sponsored under the PNP route.

I could be wrong here but I know for a fact my friend, whom is currently awaiting her PR through the BCPNP, did not need an IELTS score.

Maybe other Provence's are different.
