Hello,

I was wondering, does it matter if I take the IELTS versus the TEF (test d'evaluation de francais). I'm proficient in both languages but feel a bit more comfortable testing in French.

Thanks in advance!

Your choice. Or if you need the points, you can take both.

FYi.. There is no point system in CEC, you just need to qualify as per CLB levels set for your NOC code

If you decide to sit the TEF, you may want to fill out your application in french as well to be consistent.
