Hello Friends,

I have IELTS - General Test in a month in Delhi. Can anyone tell me that are examiners foreigners or Indian staff?.. I heard the indian staff as too fussy and tend to get irritated soon?

I mean in speaking do they show some attitude or do they really listen that you are there for speaking test??

Any experience or suggestions?

I took exam with British council and all examiners were Indians. They were thorough professional and exam was conducted in a amicable environment.

In my experience your concerns regarding their fussiness is unfounded. IMO, they listen to you during speaking test with out any attitude.

I also did with British Council, all were Indians and very professional.

Do not worry, take it easy and do it well.

Give the test without any issues.

Try to be Sehwag, he says technique is bull*censored word*, when I have the bat, the ball is to be hit, no matter who is the baller.

so go and have a great time.  Boost your confidence and speak whatever you feel correct and try to say the truth.  you will have less hesitations and will have more fluency.

Best of luck.

The test is very professionally conducted and moreover in the listening test they put a mic in front of you and everything you say is recorded. I am not sure if the person talking to you actually asseses you or is the recording assessed by some one else. Whatever the case be, just be positive and do your best.

I had a pleasant experience with the IELTS test in Delhi conducted by the British Council. The coordinators for the written exam were all Indians. They were ready to help anytime and did a good job. Each line of candidates in the hall was manned by atleast 3 coordinators. The speaking test for me was conducted by a British lady. She was very polite and asked all questions clearly. The entire conversation was recorded and she explained that she would evaluate after listening to the recording.

All the best!

I appeared at Mohan Cooperative at some India Business plaza or centre near Badarpur Border.

They are cooperative too.
I was stuck in something, my speaking examiner bailed me out of the question. she was very cooperative.

Looking at posts from the so many members,  I think we all are on same page that IELTS is conducted very professionally and there is no attitude or problems created by examiners

So Wolfman567, just don't worry, prepare well and go for it. All the best
