I am planning to take IELTS in Sep. I got hold of a 2 hardcopies of books on IELTS. One is by Peter May and the other is called IELTS Practice Test 2.

I had earlier done some practice using the standard IELTS prep. material which we can get from British council and scored VERY well on that. But when I tried just a few of the listening exams in the above mentioned books, I got tons of answers wrong. Are the actual tests really this difficult?

Can people who have recently taken the test share their experience.
