I am sure you need to register but this can only be done once you get a PR Visa or work visa. I did try but they said i had to wait. If this was allowed it would speed the job opportunity up!!!!!

i have had my qualification checked by WES. they send you a certificate to say how highly you are qualfied in CA.

Also once you have recievd you PR Vias you can also have your teaching qualification checked by OCT and get a certificate from them.

Check the OCT website it si helpful.

Right now in Canada, there are more teachers than jobs.

Many Canadian teacher grads are out of work, working in Tim Hortons etc.

Even from the UK, to teach, you need a Canadian Educator degree, plus school boards only like to recruit Canadian Citizens (even if lawfully they are suppose to employ both PR's and Citizens)

Unless you have experience and qualifications for a teaching post that is very, very unique and skilled (nuclear science for one and you obtain a invitation from the Institute to Teach), obtaining a teaching job in Canada is probably impossible.

Saying that, there are a huge amount of Private Colleges in Canada that are not Government ruled and therefore more able to offer jobs to Teachers of certain subjects.
