Dear All,
Please advice if I can land before my family if I get PR visa? and can they do their landing after I do? ( within the visa validity time of course). Undecided

As per my understanding, IF you are the principal applicant then you can land alone as well, and the family can follow. Family cannot land prior to the Principal Applicant, they can either with or after the PA.

That's absolutely correct. The principal applicant can land first - and everyone else can land later. The principal applicant must show POF for the entire family when he/she lands (even if they aren't coming until later).

Adding to what other valued members shared, family must land before landing visa expires.

If u wish to land before family, can do it without any trouble but formalities will remain same. All persons who are part of applicantion must land before visa expiry date

Thanks guys, does POF means "PROOF OF FUNDS"? meaning do I have to show that I have all the money that is required for my whole family (me principal applicant, my wife and 4 children? and how much actual money do I have to carry with me?

POF means proof of funds

U hv to show full amount at the time of landing with or without family

If u r carrying more than CAD 10,000 in Cash, must share it / declare to IO before landing otherwise consequences. Read the same on below link;

Hi,
May i know whether it is ok if my family land canada after visa period expires let says after 8 months ? and i alone being a principal applicant land before visa expires. please tell me...thanks

No. All members of the application must land before visa expires otherwise cancellation of immigration visa which means start of process all over again
