I NEED OPINION OF SENIORS-WORK OFFER BUT WITH PENDING IMMIGRATION APPLICATION

Hello friends,

This is to solicit opinions especially to all seniors
I have my 2nd AOR last Sept. 6, Ecas stat change after a week to RVO
and last january 26, 2011 changed to IN PROCESS.  Since then i havent heard anything from.

I have a friend working for more than 2 yrs in a certain hospital in Canada, just this year she told me she could be able to recommend me to that hospital, we just dont know how to go about or any idea if this could be possible.

Is it possible that while waiting for my Immigration application I could get a temporary work visa ? My friend will be the one to process in Canada if ever this would be possible.

Any opinion would be highly appreciated.

What you are asking here is to seek employment as a Temporary Foreign worker.

In your case the employer will be the Hospital. This is how it will work:

1. Based on the recommendation of your friend , you will have to apply for the job addressed to the Employer (Hospital)...if the job is not yet advertised...this is based on networking.

2. If the Hospital feels that your skills are required by them, then they will offer you the job which will be dependent on the  following:

a) The employer will have to advertise or the job in various agencies and in Job bank for 14 days.

b) he will have to prove that "NO Canadian or PR holders" were available for the job. He has to produce evidence that he tried to find (conduct Interviews etc).

c) If he is unable to find Citizens/PR holders them he will have to file for an LMO with HRSDC with the evidence of #a and #b. The processing for LMO is appprox 4-6 m depending on province. He will have to wait for a POSITIVE LMO in your favor.

d) The positive LMO is mailed to you and you can apply for a work permit from you country(processing time -approx 1 month)

That will not be affected at all. But once you gain entry in Canada through Temp foreign worker category,
1.you will have to inform your VO without fail.

2.You will also have to remember that you will not be able to change your VO to Buffalo in case you move to Canada. If an Interview is scheduled then you will have to go to country of your VO as mention on your PR application.

3.You will have to make appropriate arrangements for sending your Passports from Canada to your country of VO, because VO will not send PP out of any country. Especially for India it is illegal to send PP out of country.
