im just got married last week, and im not working my question is can i legitimate to apply a ohip? my prvious work is a caregiver.

are you a PR or Canadian citizen, if so Yes
if not then NO

r u a PR? u need to be atleast a PR in Ontario to apply for OHIP. Call OHIP!!!

Also - OHIP has residency requirements - you need to wait 3 months after establishing residency in Ontario before you qualify.

You can get OHIP with a work visa but still have to wait 3 months

You can also check if your partner has a medical plan, if yes, it may be possible to be added to that plan.
