but I am somewhat confused as to what exactly I need to do. I am a twenty-one-year-old male US citizen. I have a very dear friend that was born in Canada; Vancouver to be specific. She moved down to the states for a few years and has within the past two years moved back to VC. We had been discussing my moving there even before she left and I have finally came to the conclusion that I want to actually go through with it and make the move myself. I have searched just about everything I can think of pertaining to immigrating to Canada and, to say the least, I am rather stupified. I would just like a simple and easy explanation of what I need to do to be able to move there and stay/live with her. Thanks in advance for any help.

P.S. I am sorry if this is the wrong topic for this type of post. It just seemed appropriate since this is the general topic for immigration.

The quick answer...

Look at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp

It shows the options for immigration, choose one that applies to your personal situation, come back and ask more questions.
