I want to apply for Skill migration visa for Canada.
I am an Architect with UK masters.I have 3 years work experience from world leading Architectural firm. I have done two years PhD research as well in UK. In total I was in UK, for 6 years. During this period, I was highly involved with academia and  professional field.
Do I need IELTS? For English Language certificate can I give my UK masters certificate? I have got 69% marks(merit) which was 1% less than distinction. Please help. I do not want to attend any IELTS. If I must have to attend the please let me know.
Many thanks

Your application will not be processed without IELTS. If it were to be the old system, you could get away with it. I will recommend that you do IELTS.

Dear Sama

As per new rule applicable to all post June 26 applicants,if your complete package sent to the CIO lacks the original IELTS TRF (which has at least 1 yr to expire ) your package will be returned to you as incomplete. General module IELTS TRF is a must for an application to be considered complete and go into process.

Of course with your English background, IELTS would be no big deal. I believe you need a week of full-time practice, and then you can sit an exam and easily score a high band.

Good Luck!
