Hi
Hi, everyone
I am in an awkward situation. I am an international student in Surrey, BC, Canada in a Post Bacc course. My course started in January 2009, and I got the visa upto 31st Jan, 2010. I got the work permit after 6 months. I applied for the extension of my work permit and study permit. They got extended upto 31st August, 2010. I sent my passport to Canadian Consulate General, Seattle for the stamping of Temporary resident Visa. It has been extended upto only 15th Of June, 2010.
Now, I have work permit and study permit upto 31st August, 2010 and my TRV is expiring on 15th June 2010. This is weird, Isnt it? I am planning to move to Saskatoon after graduating in April 2010.
My questions are:
(1)Should I send my passport again to Canadian Consulate, Seattle for the further stamping? If yes, When?
(2) Will I be allowed to travel among different provinces?
(3) How should I contact Seattle, consulate general ( Nobody answers phone and I havent got a reply of email)
(4) How will it impact my post bacc. work permit?
Thanx guys in advance for your time
Sam
1. You are confusing apples and oranges.
2. You have a work permit that allows you to work (remain) until 31/08/10
3. What you were applying for in Seattle is a TRV (visitor visa) which don't need unless you intend to leave North America and return to Canada before you work/study permit expires.
4. Yes you can travel between provinces.
