Hello All, I got medical request this morning.
I am provided with a 45 days time period for passport and medical result submission, do you think its possible to ask for an extention as my husband needs to come home and send his passport from India. He is in Dubai now and resigning from his present job atleast take 2 months. Anyone has any info please drop your advise.

Let me the first to congratulate u on the MR and PPR. I will suggest that you try and meet the timeline requested by the VO. However, If it is clearly impossible to meet with the timeline, then u need to notify the VO in writing on when it will be possible. it will lead to some delays though. Goodluck |

Timeframe of 45days extension is impossible, your husband can give notice to current dubai employer, plan to visit india and submit passport, stay in India couple of days (I suggest to wait 45days minimum after submit PP), after getting visa he can move back to Dubai and wind-up his work then move to Canada. OR Leave current job ( this will create problem in relationship of employee - employer if he leave job without notice period). OMM |

I strongly believe that your husband can go for his medical in Dubai/Abu Dhabi to a DMP on Abu Dhabi VO list. He can request the DMP to send reports to Delhi and offer to pay for courier charges, if required. Passport can't be couriered from there. Either he has to come himself or send it with a friend /relative travelling to India. You may wish to call Delhi VO at 011-41782000 to seek clarification. Hi
Can you please help me.
I received a letter requesting for more documents PCC from India, RPRF, PCC from USA and Medicals in next 39 days.
The letter also says "Valid Passport. WHEN ALL OTHER REQUIREMENTS ARE MET This must be received at this office by 05/02/2011"
My issue is, I have just applied for PCC to USA....and will try to ask more time as I will not receive the PCC by May 2nd.
Meanwhile, should I send my passport or not? should I send the documents they asked and a lettter for extension as PCC might take time without sending the passports.
Please advice.

Congrats!! Consider yourself lucky being under 29 NOC list and post 26 June 2010 applicant.... There are plenty of 38 category fast track applicants waiting for MR over years.... Anyways good luck for your MR and rest of the steps. |

My husband will be able to resign from his job on April 20 and hope to do a qucik medical and send passport right away, thats how we plan right now. Anyway many thanks for your valuable inputs. I thought to have my husband to do the medical check from Dubai, but it doesnt sounds good to send passpot home and submit at the CHC. An emergency can make a big issue without passport. He dont want to risk without passport in hand.
fariza - I am not a post june applicant. I sent my application in early may 2010. Documents submitted in October 2010.
sans-may - I have no arranged employment till now. I dont know how long it takes for me. My application is under the catagory of Federal Skilled Worker.
