this might sound weird but here i go. It's always been a dream of mine to live in Canada and i am working on achieving this dream of mine. but i am not a skilled worker. have manly a retail backround with nothing special about it. What i was wondering with this being an issue is there another route i can take to accomplish this move without being a skilled worker???

yes ;you can go to canada through semi skilled pilot project foreign worker , than after getting work permit some province aslo offer permanent residency to foreign worker after completing all requirement for example alberta offer residency to semi skilled foreign worker if they work regular last six month and show intention to live permanently on this province.  some other province also offer residency to semi skilled like yukon, british colombia, saskatchewan ect .  www.canadavisa.com/canadian-provinces-offer-permanent-residency
