Hi,

I am planning to migrate to Canada, but I am really confusing about, how I begin this process.  Cry

Here some information of mine;
Job: Technical Officer (currently working)
Experience: Since 1998 to present (more than 13 yrs.)
Age: 37 yrs.
Civil status: married, (2 kids)
Educational Qualifications: Degree in Computer Engineering (awarded on November 2010), Diploma in Technology (Awarded in September 2010)
English: IELTS with 6.5 average in General Training module

Some one please give me much details how I check if I am eligible or not for migrate to Canada (I checked that Canada official web site, but I failed to find information from that). Also I need to know how is the job availability in IT filed in Canada and what about the cost?

Thanking you,
Dhammika

Technical Officer for what?

Check eligibility at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/tool/index.asp

upcoming changes: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/releases/2011/2011-06-24a.asp

from the info you provided, I expect you are not eligible to apply under Federal Skilled Worker Class -1.

Unfortunately IT occupations are not among the high demand occupations eligible to apply under federal skilled worker category....the only way for someone from IT NOCs is to get a job over there and apply based on that...
