I'm glad you like it. I'm a bit nervous that I'll freak out about how "not home" it is in the first week and attempt to flee xD
Have you found any temporary health insurance yet? OHIP doesn't cover you till you live there for 3 months.

Rorita welcome back to this forum. I'm so glad you are happy :0).
How was your flight, tell us the details.
So far do you like windsor? how's the weather? do you find any difference between Lebanon and Canada.
I'm sure your husband must be very happy to be with him. If you need anything let us know.... I guess you have a computer at home.
Again I'm so happy for you. Take it easy and enjoy life in Canada.

Hey all, I am back..:)
Thank you all for your sweet words.
mamita, in fact we haven't had the time yet to check for a temporary insurance, I will check for one next week, I have couple site to see, and Windsor is great, I will never go away, the people are so sweet, they treat me very well, and they have always a smile on their faces, what I love the most is that windsor is a very alive place, they keep partying until 1:00 am...:))) I like that, it is like I am in lebanon...
Marlena, miss you, how is everything, anything new from the Damscus? I hope you will be done soon, you still going in September to Lebanon?
The flight was very smooth, with some delay from lebanon, then some delay in Frunkfurt, we actualy waiting in the sun near the plane in frunkfurt, waiting the employee to finish cleaning the plane...it was funny..:)
What I was surprised from is that no one..and I mean no one was wearing a mask to protect himself from H1N1..??? I even didn't see the infra red machine that detect the temparature of our body..even in Lebanon we have one..:)), I took mask with me, but didn't use it..
I started praying before landing by 2 hours..:)) I wasn't scared, but I was worried that if I miss something or forget something...everyone was so nice and sweet and polite..it took 3 minute with the immigration, waited the bags for 30 minute,,,the custom only took the declaration card,,and welcome to canada..what a waste of time was making the list of goods and taking picture of my jewerly.
I think landing at 1 pm noon was the best issue, the airport was empty..
Toronto is as well very nice...what a hight building..:))
I already have my SIN number, next week I will go to health inssurance, and I will start going to a school to learn the driving rules in canda, that will be something for a girl that drive since 1999 ..in lebanon..:))
I will return in action over this forum very soon.
hope next time  logg in, I will find some post saying .."we are done"

Rorita I'm glad everything is OK. I'm sure you will love Canada. I felt the same. We are fortunate to be in a such a nice country.
Regarding Damascus, my husband didn't receive anything yet. I'm in process of sending for a CAIPS notes next week. I'm not sure if it's still too early to order them.
I provided everything they asked for so it's just a matter of time. I'm not as nervous but hopefully will have some good news before I leave to Lebanon.
I'm working a lot of overtime the past month or so. Going to work at 7:00 and coming home around 10:00 but I'm happy the time is passing so fast and my seeing my husband in September which I can't wait.
Rasha how you doing??? hope everything is well with you.
Wow Bouj. in Ottawa, can't wait to hear how he is doing??? I wish we can all meet in person one day.
Have a great weekend to all---- enjoy the nice rain !!!!

Thank you harupit200281  for your kind word, best wishes for a smooth processing for you as well. I am still logging to this forum because this forum was the one who helped me go thru the bad days I had in my processing, it give me knowledge, info and over all support, so the least I can do is trying to help other, if not in providing them with answers, a kind word or a support word will make them fill better, like the kind word and the support I had, it used to make me feel better, and that I a not alone suffering and that there are people out there who really understand what I am going thru me and my husband without judging us or giving us wrong advice.
God luck ..:)

Rorita hey :0)

yes I booked for September 14 and I'll in Beirut September 15. I can't wait. Need a break from everything. Don't get discouraged with driving in Canada. It's very easy and not crazy like Lebanon. It may takes a little more time but once you completed your course you'll be laughing. Good luck. I know my husband will go through the same but he has no choice.
