I am confused, please help

I need help with Ques. 8 of IMM 5669. It says to provide details of personal history since age 18 or past 10 years. I thought I knew how to answer, but as I fill up the forms, now I have doubts. I am in my fifties, so do I fill up since age 18!!!!! Thats so many years to fill in or do I just fill in since past 10 years. Sorry, I know I sound dumb

I figured this out after panicking big time (after I sent the application to my husband of course)....

All address since you were 18 (different part of the same form)
Work and other history (everything you've done, school, travel, unemployment, etc) for the past 10 years. So if you're 53, since you were 43.

Awor pretty much said, you just need to put what you've been doing for the past 10 years... work, schooling, unemployed or whatever. Don't think address are necessary for this part, atleast i didn't put any.

That's what I thought first too. But I thinks that's wrong.
Provide the details of your personal history since the age, 18 or the past ten years, whichever comes first .
So if your in your fifties, age 18 comes first. If your under 28, ten years come first.
I think that's how it is. But maybe I'm wrong.

i agree with elizabeth joe they want hostory of the longest record so whether thats past 10 years or since age 18

i did the 10 yr thing the first time. then came a letter with handwritten notes on the form itself with the year i should start. they computed it from age 18.

"since age 18"  is the longer period in my case.

if you try to understand the instructions, this is not what it means. i just took it as discretion by the VO

my form says for the past 10 years or age 18 whichever period is longer.

so the 20-yr old will submit since age 10 because "past 10 years" is longer than "from age 18" which is only 2 years.  what do they need from a 10-yr old child? very funny indeed.

But they really mean from 18 years old onwards.

no,  not last 10 years for age 18. I only illustrated it to show that it doesnt make sense for an 8 yr old child to submit such information. and to show how confusing the instruction is.

you will receive another set of forms about this with the AOR. What is important though, is to be consistent with your answers now.

OMG, that is going to be very challenging for me. I am in my fifties and to go back since 18  .
