I am giving hereunder my spouse applications time line,

Sponsorship application status ( Canada, Quebec )

Application received       : 06-10-2010
Application processing start    : 04-11-2010
Decision Made :

Permanent residence application status ( Singapore )

Application received       : 16-11-2010

We received your application for permanent residence on November 16, 2010.

May I know the how many days will require to finalize my application, and also what does mean by application received, since it is showing from long time, without any change.

Hi,

It means that they have recived  your application on such date. Not many VO update ECAS frequently so you need to wait. Current processing time of Singapore is 20 months so you need to hang in there. Same thing happened with me too ... for long time around 5 months it only showed application rec. Now like 3 weeks ago it says in process. I am still waiting even though my normal processing time is up now. It takes time to do back ground checks as well.
Also you check this link for more info and ideas

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Huh Day by day I am getting upset, since almost seven months has been gone, but till writing this comment, I could not get any change of my online status check. Still its showing application received, I am completely worried about it because after two months my medical will be expired.

On the above, please give me any useful reply.

As stated by jiyamano it takes 20 months you have completed only 7 you have another 13 months to go. If your medicals expire then you will have to do it again. Hope this information was useful

The timeline is just an average number, some take longer some are done quick. Background checks are one of the longest procedures in this process and they can take up alot of time and  its based on your travel, work and education history, so it varies case to case. Don't worry, you will hear from them soon, they would request for documents if they are not quite satisfied with what you have submitted. If the PCC or medical is expired they will contact you to get them redone and then the Passport request at the end.

Don't worry, its normal in Islamabad PK; pretty much everyone receive the requests to get the Police certificates and medicals done again since the timeline has increased to 23 months and everything expires when they look at our files for the first time. My wife's process is going on since Jan2010 and yet still no VISA Sad

After long time I have got a letter from Singapore, they have sent me all original evidence documents for interview purpose, as well as they inform me that you are on our interview list. Our next contact with you will be to advise you of the time, date and location of your interview. Please wait to hear from us. However I am happy after all I have got a response, lot of thanks to Jiyamano & newton for their whole-hearted co-operation. If know any body please inform me also how many days need to wait for interview.

Yours co-operation will be highly appreciated.

Did you ever see In Process in Ecas or you get letter without anything change.
I have three friends and three of them have different situation, here is their time line

PR Application Received Sinpore                                 In Process
Nov 24,2010                                                           Nothing ( received letter for interview and nothing return back interviewcould be any
                                                                              time within in 24 months)
Dec 18,2010                                                            July 5,2011 ( Sep 4 received a letter for redo medical and all pic returned)
Jan 5,2011                                                               Nothing
Jan 11,2011                                                             July 11, 2011 ( after 3 weeks ask for passport to give Dhaka visa office)
Junly 11, 2011                                                         Nothing ( is mine)

waitting like you , do not know when it could be my turn. Waiting is a big pain and anexity .

Did they say anything about how long they can take upto. I heared Singapore could take 4-6 months maybe for us less time because our interview will take place in Dhaka visa office but i am not sure.
Now i am waiting for some change in my wife file this is second time my wife address is dissapeared. Does it happen to you? Address dissapeared so i can hope it can bring some change on file.

I wish you good luck hope they will ask soon for interview.

Lot of thanks for your useful comments, but I have a little bit confused about your three friends time line. If you mentioned name as X, Y, Z.  May be it will be clear to me. However I have realized your big pain which I am facing till now. On the above my previous comments till I have get nothing as well as permanent residence status till showing application received. But they informed me by writing I am their interview list but they did not informed me anything actually how many days they will take to this purpose. I could not observed any disappeared in my wife address.

I hope your turn will come very soon.
