Hi,
My husband sponsors me to immigrate to Canada. CIC approved my husband's sponsorship on May 13 and passed my case to Buffalo office in Buffalo, USA. CIC noticed me that they started processing my application on June 12. I wanna ask how Long I need to wait for next notice for interview or for finial decision? PS. My nationality is Taiwan. I am working in USA now.

Thank you for your answer.

Hi Sarah,
The processing time is different in each case.  I believe the average processing time for Buffalo is 3-8 months, with 50% completed in 5 months. Hopefully Buffalo will transfer your case to a different Consulate as it will speed up the process.  Buffalo seems to be a bit backlogged right now.  My application was transferred and I received PPR (interview waived) in 2 months.

No, I did not ask.  When Buffalo has a backlog they may transfer your file to L.A, Detroit, NYC, Seattle or D.C - depending on what consulate is closest to you.  You will receive a letter from Buffalo if they transfer your file.

visit the site trackitt.com and navigate to Canada Family Class.  You will see many applicants and be able to track how long it will take to process applications thru Buffalo (and other consulates).  You may also add your own case and compare with others.
