and if I am a housewife staying at home looking after our kids, is there a chance for me to apply for my Mother's PR, if my husband has more than sufficient income to support us all including my Mother?

Yes, your husband has to co-sign.

If your mother qualifies to apply for her own immigration, that would normally be faster. You can look at her options at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.aspIf you have to sponsor her, you need to show enough income before you can apply plus the application to sponsor mom takes 3-4 years easily.

hello every one, actually my mother could not qualify for immigration in think. she lives in karachi pakistan ,what r the chances of getting visit visas from there if she: 1)applies for visit visa in general ,not mentioning that her daughter is in canada 2)or i send an invitation to her to visit me in canada ? 3)somebody else like friends etc who has been living in canada send an invitation? and how long will the process takes place ? or any other option if somebody could suggest?

Better to tell the truth that she wants to visit her daughter. You can send her an invitiation too.

hello, plz suggest me .... 1)if i send an invitation to my mom to visit me in canada ,is it would be difficult for her to get her visit visa for canada?because it will show my close relation with her and might got rejected -is it so??
2)or if my pakistani canadian friend on her basis, invites my mother to visit her in canada would be the better option.and in this regard is she required to mention the purpose of inviting?proof of her friendship with my mother?and proof that she would bear expences?
plz plz plz reply me ?i am in much distress .

I don't know which is more likely to get denied but keep in mind that by having a friend invite her when she is really coming to visit you is not exactly being honest with immigration.

Couldn't agree more. You don't lie to Immigration. They will find out why she's really visiting and they will see her a risk to stay illegally. That will be enough grounds to deny her entry and deport her back to her homeland. Best practice is ALWAYS be open and honest with Immigration.
