Hi all.. I have just received 2 copies of ielts report which I requested from cones toga college. I took the printouts of fee payment and our complete application form , filled it with pen and then scanned it to cones toga email. They charged me $26 for each. In the address just write " for immigration". That's it and write your address to be mailed. Simple...!

I'm guessing this is the first time you requested copy of your test results correct? Well I received a copy first time when I appeared for the exam but I have already sent it to CIC. I'm applying for CEC again so need another copy and they do not send a 2nd copy of the test results to the applicants. It can only be sent directly to the institutions.

Do not leave your application package at the IELTS office. It's not worth the risk. Consider giving them an address for the visa office where your test results should be mailed to. Include your client ID # so that CIC can easily identify you and assign the results to your file. Mail your application without the results, but include a letter explaining that the test centre does not mail additional copies to applicants but has agreed to mail one directly to CIC.

Unfortunately, you are very wrong and if someone follows this, their application is bound to be returned as "incomplete".

as per the cic guideline:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5609ETOC.asp#overview

If you do not submit the results of your official language proficiency test with your application to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) your application will not be processed and will be returned to you as incomplete.

Do not request that your (IELTS-General Training or TEF) language test result be sent directly to the CIO. Submit your original language proficiency test results with your complete application.

Friends I'm sure that you can ask the british council or the organization where you did your ielts test, just ask them to send the Immigration Application and documents package with an ielts copy. it will cost you the same, since DHL or FEDEX have a tariff for packages from 0 to 500g, and they give you the number to track your courier. Everybody is doing this here in Lebanon, And they are in Canada now.

Just ask the ielts office and they will tell you that you're not the 1st to do this, everybody do this just to maintain their original copy.

Best wishes for All

That's a great news! I'll definitely try. But you are not living in Canada, are you?

Hi

junecec,

I doubt if CIC will accept plea of IELTS copy submitted with earlier application...
if someone has succeeded earlier and you know him or her then only go by what PMM says ultimately you will have to suffer in the end.

You will not get any other copy of IELTS, you will need to re-appear in the test again to get a new copy.
I am also re-appearing in IELTS to have another copy since I was refused by IELTS for a new copy

Below was my question to IELTS org for the same

Enquiry: I took IELTS exam at Through Conestoga clollege in Canada my
question is
Can I get additional TRF mailed to me if I pay all the necessary fees
i.e. CAD $23

All candidates are sent one copy of their Test Report Form and this cannot be replaced. If you require additional Test Report Forms to be sent to receiving organisations at a later date, this can be done by the test centre where you originally took the test. The test centre may charge for this service to cover administration and international delivery costs and these costs may vary considerably.

I hope this information is helpful.

Suggest you may wish to read CIC's instructions regarding submitting copies of previously submitted IELTs.

"If you do not submit the results of your official language proficiency test with your application to the CIO, your application will not be processed and will be returned to you as incomplete.

Applicants are permitted to submit a copy of their language test results with a new application only if the original test results were submitted with a previous Federal Skilled Worker application and were not returned to the applicant. All copies of language test results must be accompanied by a photocopy of the refusal letter from CIC and an explanation that CIC retained and currently holds the original."

Unfortunate that that info is only in the FSW, but not in the current CEC Instruction Guide - it's very useful information!

So, assuming what spartan said is correct and if my test center sends me another copy of my IELTS result, would that be considered "original" or "copy". I'm guessing since it's being sent by the test center, it can be considered original and by "copy" it means a photocopy of the actual result. Please people correct me if I'm wrong and appreciate whoever clarifies Smiley
