I am a US citizen trying to figure out the entire process of how to marry a canadian citizen! what do i need to do...how long does everything take? i want to marry in canada. and i also have a 5 month old son

Not sure if I understand... if you already have the potential husband, then you're half-way there! ;-)

I guess it depends on provinces, but in Ontario, to get married, you need to:

- Get a marriage license (you can do that in most city halls), for which you will have to declare you aren't already married etc. For that you have to show two pieces of ID but they can be American I guess, mine were French.

- Get married

- Obtain a marriage license
