how to know FILE NUMBER? only got receipt number given by VFS

how do we get to know our FILE NUMBER given by embassy if submitted through VFS offices ,as they only give u  receipt number and i ve done my medical in advance.......................so please anyone could tell how to find out it !!

We are given Receipt number only to track our passport on VFS website (moreover,File number is not needed for anything)..Receipt/tracking number starts from CHAA xxxx xxxx (if submitted in CHD embassy) make sure you got it. thats it.
