Dear All,

Greetings,

I want to  immigrate to Canada first and then apply for my family members. I score 68 points without including my wife's point. I am about to send my application form to canada under Federal Skilled Worker Programe. Currently she is persuing MBA. it will take her around 2 yrs to complete the same. We also have a 6 months old baby. we want that they should immigrate after she completes MBA. Pl. advise how to do this. One more main reason is that i want to get settled there before a take my wife and kid.

Pl. advice

Make sure you list them as non-accompanying on your application and not just apply as a single :)

You could also apply for them at the same time, let them "land" in Canada with you to activate their PR status.  They can still stay outside Canada as PR's for up to 3 out of the first 5 years.

It will cost a lot for me.. i am not financially very sound. taking there PR and then Post landing- Prelanding cost and then back to home town cost will make me suffer a lot. I want to settle before then get PR.

Excuse?  What do you mean by excuse?  If you have to write anything about why your wife and child are not coming with you, write the truth, that is that you can not afford their landing fees and flights currently and hope to sponsor them later when you are settled.
