What is the way to go about getting a working visa? iam a qualified plasterer and my brother is a semi skilled welder, is there certain dates you need to apply before and how long does the process take ?

You need to find employers who are willing to hire foreign workers, i.e. apply for LMO in your favour. Search the national job bank for possible positions.

Thanks alot for that been on that website its helped alot it looks like my best option would be to go on a working holiday visa so the next step is to give the canadian emmbassey in london a call next week.
