how to get to know my e cas status? please help

hi
I am new to this forum -Dont blame me if i ask simple questions
I have applied  for canadian immigration as a federal skilled worker .
I have already recived a letter from CIC sydney stating that my application is  eliglibe for processing and they gave me 4 months to submit the application in full to London office,which I have done last month and they recived the same on the 26th june 2009
I have not recevied any reply or any acknowledgment after that.
My query is about the ecas status which many talk about in this forum.My letter from sydney do have a bar cpode with 9 numbers but when i enter them the web page say insufficient information.
why is it tlike that?

use the file number starting with B*****, eneter your family name, DOB and country...you should be able to see the status...https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en
Sometimes, there is some issues with DOB not entered correctly in the immigration system...and so may not showup...All the best

don't worry mani, it takes around 2 months to get ur call for medicals. don't panic and wait till then. i m on the same boat as u.
