Do you really think that there is a "recipe" for finding a Job Offer with AEO from HRSDC??? The way is to search for an employer through the websites or pay a lot of money to a lawyer to find it for you. It's up to you to decide!

First find a job. Explain to the employer that you need to get an AEO (Arranged Employment Opinion). If the employer agrees, the best is to hire an immigration consultant. That should cost around 1000 CD. The immigration consultant will ask some docs from your employer and along with an application will submit to HRDSC on behalf of the employer. It takes around 4-6 months to get the answer.

I am an MBA from India and am working as Manager in a stockbroking firm. I don't think my job comes under the list of 29 qulifying occupations to apply under FSW program. Regarding AEO, my consultant says that I should apply for permanent residence and then try to seek employment. But since I do not come under the list of 29 qulifying occupations, how can I apply for parmanent residence? Should'nt I have an AEO prior applying for parmanent residence?

Yes u are thinking in the right direction...ur consultant seems to be wrong based on ur narration. If your profession/occupation does not fall under the 29 listed by MI, then refrain from applying as it will be ineligible and the application returned to you. Try other ways to immigrate like family class, work permit, marriage (if u are not already married ) and also AEO is a good option !! Regards and best wishes, JUNER 2011

Be very careful. If a consultant agrees to arrange AEO in exchange for money - that AEO could be fake. It's better to arrange AEO yourself directly with the employer.

You seem like a smart guy. I recommend you to learn more about AEO by yourself before you hire any consultant. You would be surprised how many consultants say 'NON SENSE' things to people who are desperately looking for infomation. http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/poarremp.shtmlFinding Employer can be easy if you have some connections in Canada. Other than preparing couple of documents (including corporate tax returns....payroll records...), there is not much harm to the employer. Unlike LMO, the employer doesnt have to worry about you until you immigrate. (maybe one phone call from HRSDC confirming the application) Wish you the best of luck and please make sure you know the rules otherwise the consultants will fool you! Coming from my experience for AEO ( for myself and my brother). disco

one leading immigration consultancy in India offers AEO for 8 lakh rupees. It seems they have their own manpower consultancy in Canada. Has anybody in this forum gone through this route?

If a consultant arranges AEO, how can we confirm that it is genuine or not?

If you have never been interviewed by the employer and you are paying your consultant for it, then it isn't genuine.

Thanks for your comments. If I go and visit company myself and the company confirms that AEO is genuine, will that be ok? I just want to know that if anything will go wrong (company is dissolved or change their mind), will I be held responsible for presenting such AEO?
