Hi All,
Can someone please advise if I need to get a new Police Certificate from India?

I came to Canada on work permit in April 2009 and applied to CIC Sydney for PR in April 2010 in Federal worker category. I got 1st AOR in November 2010 to send all documents to Visa Office. Meanwhile I also got the Police Certificate in May 2010 from Indian Embassy in Toronto.

Now I am ready to send complete application to Visa office Bufallo.

CIC says following about Police Certificate expiry:
The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application.

What does "submit your application" date refer to here : to CIC or Visa Office?

Should I get a new Police Certificate?

Thanks a lot,
Madhav

Hi

Yoi got PCC in May and you applied to CIC in April so you can use that PCC no need of a new one. The PCC is no more than 3 months old from the date CIC received your application. You fall under old rules and this applies to you.

Cheers

My case was similar to yours. I took my PCC on May 26th and sent my full documents on Oct 11, 2010. I asked my consultant the same question and he said go ahead with the same one.

I just read saki's reply on it and he/she says the same. This guy is quite knowledged and I think you dont need to worry if he say OK.
