how to check application status in ECAS

I sent my application in December and wondering if there is a way to check if processing of my application has been started? or do I have to wait until I get my AOR for the file number?

You need the AOR with the file no.

You don't need your file number to check e-CAS. You can use your UCI (or CIC client ID number) if you have one. This is the number on your work permit.

However, if you have not received your AOR, you probably do not have access to e-CAS yet.

There won't be any info on eCAS until you receive your file number / AOR...

If you are a foreign worker you can look that up using your UCI.
