How to apply for PR on business visa?

Hello All,
   My company is sending me to canada on a project on Business visa. Will i be able to apply for PR on business visa or do i have to apply for a work permit? I am working in US rite now. If i can apply, then applying from canada would be faster or applying from states? Help me with this guys.

1.  You will most likely require an employment visa, depending on your country of citizenship, you may require a TRV.
2.  You can't apply for a work permit in Canada, you must apply either at a Port of Entry if eligible or a Canadian office in the US.

so wat i have to do to immigrate to canada if i am on a business visa there? i went through the website u provided. i was not able to understand that fully. If nyone can help me with this?
