oopsies! Grin thanks for the reply, i have one concern though, the parents of this soon to be born baby are both temporary foreign workers, in the event they will not become permanent residents and has to go back to their country, what will happen to the baby?

Like any other parents, they can take the baby with them.  Some countries do not allow dual citizenship and in that case, the child may have to choose between the Canadian and parents home country citizenship at 18.  If that is not a problem, the child can have dual citizenship and can always go to Canada, work or study like any other citizen.  They could even sponsor the parents to Canada if all requirements are met.
