I'm in Toronto, and i came across CAIPS in this forum.  hOw much does it cost Huh? And where can i get it Huh?? Do you have a website Huh??

Also, do i need to INFORM CIC that i have applied for CAIPS Huh Will it affect my application process if i don't call them about this Huh

I already applied for CEC in August 2011. Therefore, I need your help.....

1.  See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-personal.asp  There is no charge if you are in Canada.
2.  No, since you are applying to CIC for your CAIPS/GCMS notes.
3.  If you applied in Aug/11 there will be nothing in your CAIPS/GCMS notes as the application has not been entered into processing.

Hi, my application says " IN PROCESS"

I got my FILE NUMBER and did my " MEDICALS" already. so i'm just curious what is happening ...

So i don't have to inform CIC right???

Also, some body says that i have to pay $5 Huh?

You can apply, it does not affect processing. But if nothing has happened yet with your file, there won't be much to see.

i would like to apply for CAIPs notes. I have no file number starting with B and my file is in buffalo since March 2011. Do i still apply for Caips notes with the CIC file number. Also when i fill the application form ,can i select CAIPS/GCMS/FOSS.Orcan i select all of them. Pls help.

you can apply for CAIPS,GCMS, VISAFILE and FOSS NOTES
you have to write the location of your file,with name and date of birth
The fee is $5.00 only

No - you should select CAIPS and/or GCMS only - these are fast and easy, just printouts of your computerized record.

If you select "visa file", that means they will actually request that the visa office pulls your file and makes photocopies - that can take a long time and may cause a delay in the processing of your application

FOSS is just for family-class applicants in Canada...

This information IS in the instructions attached to the form...
