Dude you sound like you are ordering pizza from Pizza Hut and inquiring about the toppings. A genuine refugee really dosen't care about what the host country is offering, the only thing they are worried about it escaping from their country. To be honest you dont sound like a refugee do some more research online on how to become a real refugee and come back later....good luck Smiley

Agrees totally.......will get major negative points for this but.....give it a break people!!.

I am so behind genuine refugee claimants that are fleeing for their lives but if Canada lets in more bogus refugee claims and terroists trying to defraud their way into Canada, I will scream.

Have you any idea how much tax I pay yearly, after working 50 hours a week plus to support my family? I shudder to think that some of that money is going to house and feed people whom are either too lazy or too immoral to work at supporting themselves.

We all want better lives.....just some of us do it the right way...legally and through dam hard work.

If you are not really a refugee, you will at most get a meager life in Canada for a few months maybe as they investigate your case.  You will not get a work permit and in the end, they will kick you out.  During this time, they may give you a little money so you will not have to sleep on the street.  I have heard from a former refugee that this amounts to maybe enough money to rent a room in a bad neighbourhood but not enough to eat too so you would have to go to the soup kitchen or food bank unless you have some savings.

If you really are a refugee, they will give you a work permit after they have approved you.

I work with refugee cases having done 29 cases last year on a Pro bono basis,If He is fake He will be here for about 18-20 months before being kicked out going through the hoops of a hearing,PRRA etc.If he is a genuine refugee from Chavez More power to you since I know Chavez is a tyrant with human rights abuses
