How soon can I move after a job offer?? :)

I may have a potential job offer, but am curious how long it might take for me to relocate/get my temporary work permit (residency comes later I understand, but am looking to move/start the job ASAP)...? Can this process be expedited if necessary to start working right away? Thank you!
