Good Morning,

I shall be landing at Pearson International Airport on 1130 am on the designated day next week.

My family is already in the US and are waiting for me at buffalo. My question is as follows:

1 - Can i drive down to buffalo on the same day to pick them up and return in the evening (i have a valid us visa).

2 - if i am not allowed to exit Canada - as it has been mentioned elsewhere in this forum, can my family cross over immediately (say a couple of hours) after i have landed and completed all formalities in Toronto.

If anyone has any information or previous experience in this matter kindly share.

Thanks in advance... and regards

You may leave Canada after you have landed and you can enter on your landing papers and passport when you want to come back so I don't think you will have a problem.  Your family can land any time after you do but when you land in Toronto, talk to immigration about this.  Maybe they can give you some tips on what to say when you enter again in the evening.

Thanks Leon for the fast response and I do agree with you and will definitely check with immigration as suggested -- theirs will be the final word I guess.

I really would love to drive down to pick up my family as it would be so much easier...

Thanks again
