I'm Canadian, he's American. We have known each other for nearly ten years. We
are within two years of each other in age. We are at the same financial level in
life. What are the chances, with everything in line, that they will say no? As
long as we prove the relationship, have nothing that hinders immigration (like
being on income support, not paying child support, criminal record, etc.), what
is the chance they will turn us down?

Well I think as long as you prove your relationship is genuine (which in your case sounds like it will be easy), and assuming nothing else is wrong, I'm sure you won't have any problems. Most of what I read on this board shows positive results for people that do everything correctly.

Ok that reassures me, thank you.

We've both been divorced once. Met after my first marriage ended and before his first began. However we reunited while he was still legally married to his ex wife. They had a marital breakdown but due to finances lived in the same house. As soon as he was financially able he moved out and filed for divorce. Once the divorce was final he came here and we married within two months. Will this information be a problem?

I'm fairly new to this ordeal so I'm not really sure how/if that will effect anything. My fiancee was married once, luckily I've never been married so I guess that makes things slightly less complicated.
