how much time it takes to get back passports from delhi CHC (skilledwork. PR)?

Hello everyone,,too much anxiety,,while we were in uk recieved letter to do medicals n submit everyone's passports ,pcc, Rprf in45 days from 27 may2011for PR under skilled work.,,came back on holidays for 1 month taking leave from job.did medicals n after 2 weeks(in between i went to uk to get my pcc from uk & came back) submitted passports to delhi office via speedpost which got deliverd there on 4th of july(as per reg. reciept). now i am just worried ,when will i get my passport?,,,not worried about family's passorts,they can stay back..but i need to join duties on 22 nd july ,,at the most can extend for another week.otherwise i might loose my job in uk(am on tier 2 visa , family on dependent)...
another worry is that letter says ,we give highest priorities for submitted passports n visas which are ready to issue,,,but submission of passports does not guarantee visa issueance.
if i dont get one then the delay would harm my current uk job n stay.
pls, can someone tell me ,how much time they take to return ur passport???pls,,
