How much time is given by Buffalo to submit Police Clearance Certificates ?

Hi All,

How much time Buffalo visa office gives to let the applicant submit Police Clearance Certificates?

We all know that it normally takes 4 to 6 weeks to get a fresh Police Clearance Certificate. On the other hand, I know that Buffalo office needs police clearance certificates not older than 3 months ... therefore I have to wait until I receive a letter from Buffalo office requesting Police Clearance Certificates ... and then I apply for it ... but to be on the safe side, I want to know how much time is provided by the Buffalo office to the applicant to submit the fresh Police Clearance Certificates.

Don't wait for the request, get the PCCs now.  It will save you a lot of time.

Just to clarify one point ... if I get the PCCs now and the Buffalo office requests the PCCs after three months ... will I have to get new PCCs again (as Buffalo office seems to require the PCCs to be recently issued, e.g. not earlier than 3 months)?

If you have the Buffalo file no. then once you have the PCCs sent them to Buffalo, don't wait for them to ask.

I submitted my application to buffalo without police clearance certificate and do not have AOR yet but i have client id with cic. can I obtain PCCs and send to Buffalo quoting my client ID?

 It just took almost 3 months for me to receive a fresh Police Certificate from FBI. Therefore, I will doubt on your 6 weeks and  wouldn`t wait for VO request.
