How much time does it take normally for the application to be processed, eversince my application gets accepted? Can it be more than 1 year?

New applications are getting processed within 18 months depending on each CHC and a bit of luck unlike those of us that have been on it for over 3 yrs.

I heard that new processing time is 6 months to 1 year

check the application processing times on CIC website, at least you'll have an idea how long for your category and visa office.
