Sent my passport in Dec 09 and no responce from CHC-New Delhi even after 4 months.

Couple of question I have and also open for valuable inputs.

1. Does CHC have a time limit with in which they HAVE TO or MUST take is decision on a case under FSW category? If yes, then when do we start counting the months from i.e application sent to CIO, approval date from CIO or file transfered to local CHC or from the time docs sent to local CHC or the date they start processing (status changes to In-Process) or is it some other date?

2. Are the so called 'external agencies' which do the background checks bound by any time limit with in which they have to reply to CHC? Should they not be responsible to take FSW cases on priority else it defies the whole FSW program (Ministerial occupations) for faster processing.

Is it okay for someone to contact the external agency and request them to consider his/her case.

Seniors pls suggest. Just wanted to know what are my option or I just continue the same way WAIT, WAIT n WAIT !!!!

Thanks.

I donot know why these external agencies are taking so much time for background check, as per my opinion files will be in queue and when they open these, agency can do security check within few days as these are just database check.

Any one who has gone through  background check (especially from CHC new delhi), his/her experience will be helpful to us to get an idea about time frame for security check.

Senior please advice on this topic.......

Dear all,

Even I had a the same scarry moments i sent my meds +pp+rprf on 3rd march and recvd call from my consultants that pp i stamped on 30th april so in all it took around 60 days some cases it comes under a month. But I had the same queries as you guys had but it seems that persons who have foreign travel stay for longer durations need to wait a bit longer there is a excellent thread by quarox pl go thro that and you will be more clear.
