Time is also important and how to manage with time and save money. I lived in Western Countries for several years and I was a student. If you know a little bit of cooking, you can save lots of money. You should consider distance between the place you live and your college (time).

In 2010 my elder sibling was in Winnipeg, just outside of University of Manitoba, so I can share few facts with you;

1. Rent in a shared apartment (2 rooms) with one more person : CAD 375.

2. Monthly expenses for food : CAD 100 to 150 (only self cooked food)

3. Fast internet charges : CAD 25.

4. Apart from this, you may have to pay for transportation + study/project related cost etc.

It will depend on how you want to live.. if you want to live alone and everything on your own it'll cost around 8-10000 but if you cut down on expenses live wid friends and everything that can come down to 4-5000 !!!
