Guys please answer to me:

I applied for permanent residence on 2009 wit Canadian experience class but they refused me beacose my IELTS score was 5.Then my consultant told to apply again under FSW beacose IELTS score is not problem for this category. He just told me that Buffalo only ask for 67 points and more to be eligible for processing.IELTS score is not important like in CEC category.

Now I am confused.I saw on this forum that some people have been refused beaocse of small IELTS score.

Please tell me ma I wrong and did my consultatn laid to me? Embarrassed

Overall score does not say much. It is very important to see every part score. And it depends on your occupation.
Now see, for example, Listening 9, Reading - 4, Writing - 4, Speaking - 5, Overall - 5:
Medical doctor - There is a very high chance for the officer to apply negative substituted evaluation. Because with such score applicant will very hard time to get medical license in Canada. Therefore, refusal.
Carpenter - such sore is more than enough to get license and find a job. Therefore, Welcome to Canada!

IELTS is mandatory even if you cross the pass mark of 67. You still need to submit it.

Cheers

Miza,

I answered you in the other thread. Your IELTS is valid. Don't worry.

Cheers

maybe the reason why they're giving emphasis on the English language, is because maybe most of immigrants who have settled there decades ago could not even communicate simple english.
