On page 4 of IMM0008 its asked for "number of years of education in total". Do I include all the years of education from Primary, secondary to college?

Only count 12 for primary and high school - don't count kindergarten and preschool, for example. Also only count 4 for a 4-year university degree, even if (like me) it took you longer.

The guide does say formal education, but it doesnt say after secondary. I would take that to mean the total number of years of education, primary, secondary, college uni etc.
Also, page 4 of the form is for dependents. Page 3 asks about education of the principal applicant.

If someone went to school for a year, but then didn't complete it, does that count as a year of schooling? For example, they were there for the year but then had more absences than were allowed for one year and therefore weren't not passed onto the next year- does that count as a year or only the years that were all successfully completed?
