You have to check that on the Canadian Embassy website for your country.... here in Mexico is 20 working days after the medicals are done...

..sorry.. posted without finishing

04% of the cases - 2 days or less
12% of the cases - 7 days or less
14% of the cases - 14 days or less
28% of the cases - 28 days or less

When you sent your papers to the Embassy, you should have included a document which asked you how would you like to receive your answer, by email, by fax or by regular mail?

If you choose the regular mail, is going to take more time for you to receive it.

If you haven't received any answer for the 14 of JULY.. You should email the Embassy including your complete name, your birth date and your case number asking them for information on your application.

Hope this works for you.... I am also waiting for an answer, I completed my medicals on the 4th of June.

Good Luck

Yes... if you don't receive an answer by Sep 2.. DON'T travel to Canada yet... in the question and answer section, there is a question that says: Can I travel to Canada while my permit is still in process? "No, you should wait, contact the school and let them know that your study permit application is still in process. If the immigration officer finds out that you have a pending application, he might refuse your entrance to Canada"

oh its true.. there are some countries like USA, Mexico, UK among others, that their citizens can visit Canada without a visa as long as the visit is no longer than 6 months..

Yes.. I believe that they start working in your case once they receive the medical results... on the C.E. in Mexico website, under the students visa..  they give you an answer to your application 21 working days before the day you did your medical exams..

Farhan;
In my case they took 15 days to send me an interview call.
Count that from the date you send them your passport.
