hello,
I heard that the time to have a permanent resident after the 24 months of work as a live in caregiver is 6 .8. months, but if you have to sponsor someone in the same application, as a spouse in common law, it takes 18 months. Is it true?
Maybe to go faster, I can marry my common law partner?
thank you

Hi,

I have been reading another forum where a live in caregiver was able to have first stage approval and consequently the OWP in 6 months and another 6 months to obtain the permanent residency, this is for a single caregiver though. I just don't know the processing time for somebody with spouse/common law partner and dependents.
