How long time does marriage supporting take?

First of all I'm sorry because of my bad english. :)

I live in Turkey.And i have a girlfriend in Canada.her nationality is German.She lives in canada for 18 months.Also she has been working for 18 months in there.So she will take her permantent resident until a few months.And now we decide to marry.I'm Turkish and i want to take "Permanent Resident".She will be sponsor for me.But i dont know which is the best way to do it.And how long time do all process take?And which is the best way?Thanks for already now.

Once you are married, you wife has to live in Canada as a Permanent Resident.  She can then sponsor you, but you can't live in Canada with her until your Permanent Resident visa has been approved.  Processing times vary and it can take from 3 months up to a year.

first thanks for fast reply.So if we married, waited for her parmanent resident, And after she take her permanent resident, would she apply for sponsoring?i mean i wanted to say that she will come for holiday in tukey before she takes permantent resident.and i thought that when she is in turkey we can marry and we would wait for her parmanent resident.And when she takes her permanent resident she would apply for sponsoring?İs it possible?I mean marriage in turkey before she took permanent resident?

If I were you (or her) I would wait for her to obtain permanent residence here in Canada prior to leaving the country and getting married. It will makes things alot smoother, I think, for the both of you. Once she has her permanent residency she can travel freely, you can get married and she can then start the paperwork for sponsorship... get ready it's a long and lengthy process! And read all the small print.

the time she will spend with u in turkey will be added to the time her permanent resident card needs to be issued . for example lets say she will get her PR next august and she comes to you in april and spent with u a whole month and goes back , her pr then will be issued in sptember , and yes once you are married you need wait till she gets her PR only then she can apply to sponsor you .

dear friends thanks for your helps.Shortly before, i was reading immigration guide from "CIC".And i saw a haunting point..They sad that;

Conjugal Partner
You can be sponsored as a conjugal partner if you have maintained an opposite or same-*censored word* conjugal
relationship with your sponsor for at least one year; that is, you have been in a committed and mutually
interdependent relationship of some permanence where you have combined your affairs to the extent
possible (a marriage-like relationship).

This last category is intended for partners of Canadian sponsors who would ordinarily apply as common-
law partners but cannot meet the definition (were not able to live together continuously for one year with
their sponsor), usually because immigration rules prevent long stays in one another's countries. In most
cases, the foreign partner is also not able to marry their sponsor and qualify as a spouse. Such factors as
marital status or *censored word*ual orientation, in addition to an immigration impediment, usually prevent both partners
from entering into a common-law relationship or marrying.

Non-cohabitation for purely personal or economic reasons (for example, did not want to give up a job or
studies) does not normally qualify as a sufficient impediment. Applicants should be able to provide evidence
that they have tried to live together as common-law partners. For example, they might have explored options
for living together in one another's countries, such as work or study permits, visitor visas, long-term visitor
status, etc.

 Note: There is no fiancé(e) category in Canada's immigration legislation. If you and your
sponsor are fiancé(e)s, you must marry before your sponsor submits the sponsorship and
immigration applications. Your application may be refused if you apply as a fiancé(e).

And now because of my bad english i didn't understand that should i in a relationship with her or, should i married with her for at least 1 year, when i am sponsored?I mean when my girlfriend apllied, is it enough if we sad that we were in a relationship for 3 years but we married 3 months ago.or do we have to married at least 1 year when we applied.?
