...does it take for an embassy to receive the medical results from the time of doing them? I've searched and asked but always have gotten different answers.

Assuming the embassy is in the same country, around 2-3 weeks would be a prudent estimate. However, the embassy would then analyse the results of the medical exam by themselves. And it takes some time for them to reach a decision.
